The famous “Stairway to Heaven” — 21 locks rising up the hill
Hatton Locks is one of the most impressive stretches of the Grand Union Canal — a dramatic flight of 21 locks climbing the hillside. It’s a brilliant place to watch narrowboats work through the locks and enjoy wide views over Warwickshire.
The towpath is easy underfoot, with benches, wildlife and a café at the top. It’s a great leg‑stretch before or after visiting Warwick.
